Community Outreach, aka, COR is an emergency homeless shelter located at 641 Celina Rd., Tompkinsville, Monroe County, Kentucky.
The Community OutReach Inc was founded in 1983 by a group of people who saw the need to help low income families and the homeless. COR is a short-term emergency facility for homeless, domestic violence, and crisis situations.
In 1983, the old Farmer’s Service building was purchased and renovated, with part as a thrift store, and part as a food pantry. The shelter was constructed, in 1987, as an add-on to the existing building to contain a kitchen, living area, men/women’s bathrooms, two congregate bedrooms, one single bedroom, and one single bedroom for the live-in caretaker. The shelter is a 12-bed facility for eligible clients.
It is the mission of Community OutReach to assist homeless persons with emergency housing and assistance to obtain and maintain independent living.
Feel free to send us a message with any questions/concerns that you may have.
